Radiotherapy which also known as radiation therapy or radiation oncology is a technique to damage or kill cancer cells and stop them from growing using x-rays, gamma rays, electron beams or protons. It is one of the most common treatments for cancer. It’s often part of the treatment for certain types of cancer, such as cancers of the head and neck, lung, bladder and Hodgkin disease. Many other forms of cancers are also treated with radiation therapy.
